"Critical Care with Compassion"
Community Hospital has a modern, state-of-the-art department equal to units found in larger, metropolitan areas. Equipment includes a modular Hewlett-Packard telemetry system capable of monitoring patients with invasive Swan Ganz catheters and arterial lines, as well as monitoring of patients on the medical-surgical floor who have cardiac conditions. A new ventilator assists ancillary staff in caring for the critically ill.
More important than equipment is the experience level of the ICU nurses. The training a nurse goes through to work in intensive care is tremendous. The expertise of the staff here exceeds what you may find in many larger facilities. All of the ICU nurses are certified in Advanced Life Support. Because of the staffing level, we are able to provide more one-on-one care, as well as accommodate the patient’s family members during a difficult time.
When a patient is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Community Hospital, the family can rest assured their loved one would receive quality care by a well-trained staff.
