Flexible Scheduling:
Community Hospital offers flexible staffing patterns including seven on/seven off, twelve-hour shifts, and forty and eighty hour workweeks.

Educational Assistance:
Community Hospital provides tuition and book reimbursement to all employees seeking higher education. Eligibility begins immediately.

Health Insurance:
All full-time employees are eligible for health insurance protection. Eligibility begins immediately. Both individual and family plans are available. Community Hospital and the employees share the premium.

Life/Accident Insurance:
Life and accident coverage are provided to full-time employees at a rate of 1.5 times the employees annual salary. Community Hospital pays the premium in full and eligibility begins immediately.

Disability Insurance:
Community Hospital provides Long Term disability income to full-time employees.

Social Security:
One-half of total social security taxes are contributed by Community Hospital for all employees.

Workman’s Compensation:
All employees are eligible for financial assistance for work-connected disabilities.

Direct Deposit:
All employees are eligible. Funds are available by 2:00 pm on payday.

Hospital Discounts:
Discounts are given to full-time employees, spouses, and legal dependants on all medically necessary charges at Community Hospital.

Cafeteria Discounts:
All employees receive cafeteria meals at a discounted price. This reflects an approximate discount off of visitors’ prices.

Pharmacy Discounts:
Full-time and regular part-time employees and their families are immediately eligible to receive prescription and non-prescription medicine from the hospital pharmacy at a discounted price.

Christmas Club:
All employees are given the opportunity to open an interest earning Christmas club account through Community Hospital. Open enrollment is during the month of October.

Notary Service:
Free notarization of documents is provided to all employees.

Personal Check Cashing:
All employees receive check-cashing privileges up to $25.00 at the hospital business office.

Payroll Deductions:
Payroll deductions can be arranged for items such as group health insurance premiums, Christmas club, United Appeal, medications purchased through Pharmacy, medical supplies, and other indebtedness to Community Hospital.

Employee Service Awards:
All Community Hospital employees receive recognition for continuous service after the first 5 years and every 5 years thereafter.

Vacation:
After one year of employment, all full-time employees (80 hour schedules) receive ten vacation days.

Holidays:
Full-time employees (80 hour schedules) receive seven paid holidays. These include New Years Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and a personal birthday. Eligibility begins immediately.

Sick Leave:
Community Hospital provides paid sick leave to full-time employees beginning on the third regular scheduled work day when accrued. Eligibility begins immediately. Employees who accrue hours over 240 sick will be paid half of the accrued hours (over 240) on or about their anniversary date.

Bereavement Leave:
Full-time employees are given up to three days leave with pay upon the death of a family member. Eligibility begins immediately.

401k Plan:
Full-time employees are given the opportunity to invest in an 401k annuity and receive tax-deferred compensation. Eligibility begins immediately.

Health Program:
Community Hospital provides a complete pre-employment physical exam to all employees, and free annual physicals are available thereafter.
