Our monitored exercise service is provided for people who have experienced a heart complication or have other risk factors such as:
Stable angina (chest pain) Heart attack Open-heart surgery Catheterization High blood pressure Smoking Weight gain Family history of heart disease Lack of exercise High cholesterol levels Diabetes
At Community Hospital, Cardiac Rehab consists of two outpatient programs:
Phase II – Exercise with close rhythm monitoring.
Individual prescription plan that emphasizes education. Exercise 1 hour per day 2 days per week 18-week program Close monitoring including daily vital signs, weekly weighing, and heart rhythm monitoring.
Phase III – Maintenance Exercise
Individual prescription plan that emphasizes education. Continued weekly exercising
Exercise is held weekdays. Morning classes are available for your convenience.
Also available:
Nutrition education with a certified dietician Risk factor education in both Phase II and Phase III Certified personal trainers Diabetic monitoring
